The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) hosts the safety rules that all drone users should be aware of and abide by, including commercial operators.


In Australia, some commercial drone operators are required to apply for a Noise Approval under the Noise Regulations. To apply, operators need to complete a short online-self assessment form.


Privacy awareness and an understanding of the Australian Privacy Principles and privacy laws in your area is important, as such laws can differ between states or territories, and may not specifically mention drones.
