Safety

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulates drone safety in Australia.

CASA provides a suite of remote pilot credential options to meet commercial needs and support Australia's emerging aviation technologies industry.

All commercial drone operators should be familiar with the CASA's drone safety rules.

CASA operator credentials

CASA provides remote pilot credentials for those wanting to earn money from their drone, conduct complex operations or deliver training to licence drone pilots. It provides accreditation for operators to use their drones for activities other than recreational or sports purposes.

CASA is the lead on aviation safety

CASA is responsible for all safety regulations relating to the operation of drones.
